Ok, so that was really fun!!! It went great!! Here was the schedule:

6:00-ish- end of class
6:00 to 7:00 hang out and get ready
7:00 begin performance
9:00-ish end performance and go home
so I had a pretty busy day, and now i'll start from the beginning.
This morning was a regular school day :P and I was tired. So after school, which ends at 2:30. I went home and hung out for a couple hours. By around 4:00 I left for the high schol, dressed in my leo and tights. The class started at 4:30, and while we warmed up the theatre people checked the lights. The class lasted for about 1 1/2 hours, so by 6:00 we were back in the cafeteria getting ready for the show. I put my hair up in a high bun and did all my makeup. I also ate dinner before I put on the makeup. After that was all done, I put on my first costume. It was for Jr. co, and was a classic romantic with many layers (3 of royal blue, 2 of mustard yellow) and the other half was velvet in royal blue with a little bright greenish-yellowish sash going along the front of it. There are two flowers on it also that are mustard colored. So I put that on, and Savannah (a ballet friend) and I went into the school halway and took pictures. Soon It was time to get in line to go onstage. So we waited behind these little kids to get to the stage, and in about 5-10 minutes we were backstage. It was a little crouded, but we fit. Suddenly, the dance ended and the stage blacked out. It was my time to dance!!! We rushed into our places onstage, and the lights burst on. Right after the music started, and we jumped in.
I always love performing. I don't do it for the entertainment of the croud, I do it for the experience.
after the dance was over, I went back to the cafeteria and took off my costume. I then changed into my swan lake costume. I love this costume. It is romantic, but it goes almost to my knees, so it's short. Its a maroon/pinky costume, with lace on half of the top. The lace is pink, and there is a gold lining below it. The rest is maroon velvet. The tutu part is maroon with a layer of pink on top that is a little shorter than the maroon part. It also has a little floer below the lace part.
I took some more pictures with Savannah, and then it was time to go again. This time, it was even more crowded backstage. There were enough students backstage for three different dances, and there were. We didn't have to wait too long to go on, because it only took about 15-20 minutes for the dance to end. For us performers, thats not very long. The stage again blacked out, and then it was our turn. about 1/3 of the people from my group went onstage, bit the rest stayed offstage, where they start. The lights came on, and the music boomed. It was time for the big dance. This dance is 7 minutes and 53 seconds long. That is LONG for a ballet performance. Us dancers didn't have many breaks (they weren't long either) bit I didn't mind. I like the thrill of being onstage. This was my favorite dance in the performance, and it esd finished in the blink of an eye. Shur, from the audience it seemed long, but when you're acually DOING it, all you think about is your dance. All you see is the stage and fellow dancers, all you hear is the music, all you feel is the sweat and light boring into you. I love these feelings. It's so different watching, and performing. When the dance was finally over, I went back to the corner in the cafeteria (for the last time {ecept after the show}) and changed into my first costume, the blue and mustard one. I took more pitcures, then played down by the banks with the little ones. After we lined up for the finalie. This year I got to hand out the flowers to the teachers at the very end. It's pretty fun to do.
After all that was done, i stripped off the costume and put my "junk" back on. I had my nud leo, tights, sweatpants, and plaid shirt on. And clogs. I got a ride home from Clara, and my feet were so sore from the performance, it felt so good to sit down and take the weight off my feet. Once home I ate a little snack and prepaired for tomorrow.
